EV PLANET: EMMA VILLAS’ SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM

Starting in 2024, Emma Villas launched the EV Planet project, enhancing the company’s vision on sustainability, particularly environmental sustainability.

Emma Villas generates positive impacts on local economies, but environmental protection is a key element of our business. Our villas, often set in the stunning natural surroundings of Italy, inspire us to offer sustainable solutions for owners and guests.

Through communication initiatives, guests will be increasingly aware of sustainable travel behaviors, while villa owners will be provided with low-impact solutions for managing their properties, such as energy self-production, electric vehicle charging stations, and eco-friendly materials.

Regarding electricity, medium-sized villas could save around 35,000 kWh annually, reducing both energy costs and CO2 emissions. Emma Villas is partnering with E.ON energy starting from 2024.

OWNERS & GUESTS: A SHARED COMMITMENT

Every action can make a difference…

Green Tips for a Conscious Traveler

Small actions can have a big impact on reducing our environmental footprint. Here are some green tips for Emma Villas guests to practice during their stay:

💧Use a reusable water bottle to reduce single-use plastic consumption.

💡 Turn off air conditioners and lights when leaving the villa to save energy.

♻️ Recycle by following the villa’s waste separation guidelines.

🚰 Conserve water by using it responsibly and turning off taps when not in use.

🔋Opt for sustainable transportation, like electric vehicle charging stations available at many villas or eco-friendly transport options.

Green Solutions for Owners

Emma Villas collaborates with villa owners to promote low-impact environmental solutions for a more sustainable future. Initiatives may include:

☀️ Energy self-production: Installing solar panels to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

🔋 Electric vehicle charging stations: Encouraging guests to use electric cars for a sustainable stay.

🌿 Eco-friendly materials: Choosing furniture and products made from recycled or sustainable materials.

💡 Energy efficiency: Optimizing consumption with low-impact lighting systems and energy-saving appliances.

💚 Social responsibility: Promoting practices that enhance and preserve local cultural and natural heritage.

GREEN VILLA HOLIDAYS

Respect Nature during your stay…

Staying in a villa surrounded by nature, whether in the countryside or near the coast, offers the opportunity to enjoy a sustainable relaxation experience. Simple daily actions can make a big difference in respecting the environment during your vacation.

Reducing single-use plastic, for example, by bringing reusable water bottles and cloth shopping bags, is a step towards a more eco-friendly holiday. Paying attention to energy consumption is equally important: turning off lights and devices when not needed and minimizing the use of air conditioning and heating helps reduce your environmental footprint.

Another sustainable choice is using eco-friendly transportation, such as bicycles or electric vehicles, to explore the villa’s surroundings, thereby reducing CO2 emissions. Supporting recycling practices and buying local products, like fresh fruits and vegetables from nearby farms, can support local communities.

GREEN OFFICE & SOCIAL INCLUSION

From 2024, Emma Villas has launched the “Green Office” project, which promotes sustainability in its offices through actions such as waste recycling, collecting plastic caps for recycling, and using FSC-certified paper (certified products made from responsibly managed forests) for all company publications.

These small actions are part of a broader commitment to reducing environmental impact and creating an inclusive and responsible workplace.

Sustainability is linked to social responsibility in the Siena area. Emma Villas supports inclusion projects and raises awareness by sponsoring the Siena volleyball team, Emma Villas Volley, in partnership with associations like LILT (Italian League for the Fight Against Tumors) to promote health and social inclusion through sport.
